Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:

«Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had it not been that I might overburden the believers—or  my Ummah—I would have commanded them to use the Siwāk (toothstick) at every prayer."»

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that if he had not been afraid of making things hard for the believers in his Ummah, he would have made it obligatory upon them to use the Siwāk with every prayer.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) demanding repayment of a loan in such a rude manner that vexed the Companions and they were about to harm him, but the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave him, for he who has a right is entitled to demand it. Give him a camel of the same age as his." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we found none but older than his." ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: Some Bedouins visited the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and they said: "Do you kiss your children?" He said: 'Yes.' They said: "By Allah we do not kiss our children." Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was walking with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and he was wearing a Najrāni cloak with a thick hem. A Bedouin approached him and pulled him violently by his cloak. I looked at the neck of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon) [and saw that] it was chaffed by his hard tug. The Bedouin then said: "O Muhammad, give me some of Allah's wealth that you have with you." The Prophet turned to him, laughed, and ordered that he be given something.Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
