Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Time has completed its cycle and has returned to its state when Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year consists of twelve months, of which four are sacred; three of them are consecutive: Dhu al-Qi‘dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar which comes between the months of Jumāda and Sha‘bān. Which month is this?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He remained silent for some time until we thought he was going to name it by something other than its current name. He then said: "Is this not the month of Dhu al-Hijjah?" We said: "Indeed, it is." He then said: "Which city is this?" To which we said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He then remained silent for some time until we thought he was going to name it by something other than its current name. He then said: "Is this not Al-Baldah (meaning Makkah)?" We said: "Indeed, it is." He then said: "What day is this?" We replied saying: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He then remained silent for some time until we thought he was going to name it by something other than its current name. He said: "Is this not the Day of An-Nahr (10th of Dhu al-Hijjah)?" We said: "Indeed, it is." Thereupon he said: "Indeed, your blood, your property and your honor are inviolable to one another just as the inviolability of this day of yours, in this city of yours, in this month of yours. And you will soon meet your Lord, and He will ask you about your deeds. So, do not return to disbelief after my death, striking each other's necks. Let those who are present here convey my statements to those who are not present, for perhaps someone to whom my words are conveyed will understand them better than someone who listened to them." Then he said: "Behold! Have I delivered (the message) to you? Behold! Have I delivered (the message) to you?" We answered saying: "Indeed, you have." He said: "O Allah, bear witness to this!"Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the battle of the Trench and put down his arms and took a bath, Jibrīl (peace be upon him) came and said (to him): "You had put down your arms? By Allah, we (i.e. the angels) have not put them down yet. So, set out for them." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where to go?" Jibrīl said: "Towards this side", pointing towards the Banu Qurayzhah. So, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) headed towards them.Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: It is as if I am looking at the dust rising in the alleyway of Banu Ghanm from the marching of Jibrīl's parade when the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) set out to Banu Qurayzhah.Narrated by Bukhari
Zayd ibn Thābit (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) collecting the Qur'an from parchments. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How blessed the Levant is!" So we said: "Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Because the angels of the Most Merciful spread their wings over it."Narrated by At-Termedhy - Narrated by Ahmad
‘Abdullāh ibn Ash-Shikhkhīr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) praying and making a sound like the rumbling of a mill because of weeping.An-Nasaa’i - Narrated by Abu Daoud - Narrated by Ahmad
Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace ‎and blessings be upon him) was sent as a Messenger of Allah at the age of forty. Then he ‎stayed in Makkah for thirteen years receiving the divine revelation. Afterwards, he was ‎commanded to emigrate (to Madīnah where he lived) for ten years, and he died at the age ‎of sixty-three.Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: I never felt jealous of any of the Prophet's wives except for Khadījah although I did not (have the privilege to) see her. She further added that whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) slaughters a sheep, he says: "Send some of it to the companions of Khadījah." She said: "But one day I annoyed him and said: (It is) Khadījah (only that you mention often)!" Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon her) said: "My love of her has been planted in my heart (by Allah)."Narrated by Muslim
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not take a second wife until Khadījah died.Narrated by Muslim
Abu Mūsa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Many men attained perfection, but of women none attained perfection except Āsiyah, the wife of Pharaoh, and Maryam, the daughter of ‘Imrān. Indeed, the superiority of ‘Ā'ishah to other women is like the superiority of Tharīd to other meals."Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
